Craig Armitage

Craig is a highly experienced IR practitioner, having spent the past 20 years advising and working with growth companies across multiple industries.

Prior to co-founding LodeRock, Craig was the General Manager of Canada’s largest IR agency and led the firm’s technology and financial services practices.

Previously, he led IR and communications at one of Canada’s largest independent asset management companies. During his time in the field, Craig has gained extensive experience in all areas of IR – IPOs, M&A, investor outreach, media and crisis management — and developed a deep network of trusted contacts in the investment community. 

Craig served on the Board of Directors of CIRI Ontario for several years. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.

James Bowen, CFA

James Bowen, CFA

James has over 17 years of capital markets experience.  Prior to joining LodeRock, James worked as a portfolio manager at a Toronto based asset manager. In this role James was responsible for vetting management teams, analyzing financial performance, constructing portfolios and marketing the fund. 

James started his career as an analyst on a multi-strategy hedge fund where he covered a wide range of sectors, with a focus on North American equities. James brings a buy-side lens to capital markets communication and has a unique perspective on how companies can implement thoughtful strategies to reduce their cost of capital.  James is a CFA Charterholder and a graduate of University of Waterloo.​

Priyam Chakraborty

Priyam Chakraborty

Priyam is a seasoned communications and stakeholder relations professional. Prior to joining LodeRock Advisors, she managed communications and investor relations for Origin House – where she was responsible for crafting the company’s growth story from a start-up to a publicly-traded cannabis brands and distribution company.

Having worked with global PR firms such as Edelman and TBWA to manage reputation for Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups, Priyam is skilled at developing strategic narratives, translating metrics into scalable communications strategies and creating capital market-specific communications campaigns that deliver business impact.

Priyam holds an MA in Digital Communications from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Public Relations from Symbiosis International University.

Lawrence Chamberlain

Lawrence Chamberlain

Lawrence Chamberlain is a seasoned strategic communications specialist with nearly two decades of broad-based Investor Relations (IR) and capital markets communications experience. He has been responsible for the development and implementation of IR Programs for dozens of Canadian publicly traded companies spanning a wide range of industries and market capitalizations.

Prior to joining LodeRock, Lawrence held increasingly senior account executive roles at major Canadian investor relations consulting firms, where he counseled senior management teams on day-to-day IR strategies, as well as special projects such as IPOs and M&A. Additionally, Lawrence has in-house experience through his roles as a Manager, Investor Relations for a TSX-listed information technology company and several emerging technology companies.

Marc Charbin

Marc has 13 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience. During his ten-year career in equity research and investment banking, Marc was a ranked analyst by Thomson Reuters for his coverage in the financial services sector and covered over thirty small- and mid-capitalization companies across various sectors.

At KPMG, Marc’s clients included large TSX and cross-listed companies in the industrial, retail and mining sectors. Marc obtained his BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and is both a CPA, CA and CFA Charterholder.​

Dennis has over 20 years of experience in equity research, technology, and strategic communications. He has worked closely with senior management teams across the market capitalization spectrum.

For 9 years, Dennis was a sell side analyst at several of Canada’s leading independent investment dealers. He co-founded a technology startup and has an affinity for working with companies through key stages of capital raising and growth.

More recently, Dennis was Vice President of Investor Relations at a technology company included on the S&P/TSX Composite Index. From 2013-2014, he was a member of the award-winning investor relations team at Loblaw Companies Limited.

Dennis began his career as a software developer, received an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Tim Foran

Tim Foran

Tim Foran is an experienced investor relations, corporate communications and media relations professional. Over the past decade, he has helped companies increase shareholder value through strong, clear and transparent communication.

In his most recent role, he served as Director of IR of the world’s largest online betting and gaming company. During this time, the company grew from a TSX Venture firm with a $200M enterprise value (EV) to a TSX/NASDAQ-listed issuer with an EV of approximately $10B.

Previously, he served as a senior consultant at Canada’s largest IR consultancy. Prior to that, he was an award-winning journalist and columnist. Tim is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR).

David Galison

David has more than 20 years of experience in equity research and senior operational roles within the automotive industry. For the past 12 years, David worked in equity research at CIBC World Markets and Canaccord Genuity covering multiple sectors, including Pipeline, Power and Utilities, Diversified Industrials, Clean Technology and the Global Steel Industry. He has worked closely with senior management teams across the market capitalization spectrum.

Prior to entering the Canadian Capital Markets, David held several increasingly senior roles over his 10 years in the automotive industry in the United States. David’s unique insight comes from his operational experience combined with deep capital markets experience. This is further enhanced through his extensive experience across the full spectrum of financial responsibilities, his communication skills and institutional investor relationships. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. David is a CFA Level III candidate.

Nick Hurst

Nick Hurst

Since becoming an investor relations consultant in 2000, Nick has worked with TSX, TSX Venture and inter-listed businesses of varying sizes across a range of sectors including healthcare, technology, oil & gas, mining and industrial products.

He has developed and executed year round strategic communication programs targeting both professional investment audiences as well as retail investors across North America and around the world, and has worked on a number of special situation mandates including public offerings (initial, follow-on, and secondary), acquisitions, and proxy battles.

Ross Marshall

Ross is a seasoned communications professional with experience in investor relations and political communications.

He provides strategic planning, counsel and turnkey financial communications and IPO roadshow services to Canadian and U.S.-based companies at all stages of development.

Adam Peeler has 16 years of experience in the capital markets working in-house, and as an advisor with Nasdaq, TSX and TSX-V listed companies.

Mike Polonsky

Mike was a senior partner at the largest IR agency in Canada. During his 15-year tenure, he worked with close to 500 companies across all major sectors and a few minor ones too.

He helped big companies, little companies, even science experiments masquerading as companies to find their voice, so that they can tell their stories with impact to the capital markets.

These entities in turn raised billions of dollars, received expanded research coverage and/or met other objectives such as improved liquidity.

With a foundation in investor presentations, he now frequently works on presentations for broader purposes such as sales pitches, product launches, board meetings and charities. He is a frequent lecturer across Canada.

Ian Tharp, CFA

Ian is a senior leader with extensive experience in investor communications and sustainable business opportunities.

Most recently, Ian led the sustainability office at Algonquin Power & Utilities (AQN: TSX/NYSE) with a mandate to develop its sustainability strategy, ensure its integration into company operations, and communicate its sustainability performance and objectives to key audiences.

Ian joined Algonquin as VP, Investor Relations and led the IR team during a period of significant growth and capital formation. During his tenure, the company’s IR and sustainability reporting efforts were consistently recognized during IR Magazine Canada’s annual awards season.
